The company began operation in 1961 under the management of Mr. George Kyriakides, in the picturesque villages of Polystipos located in the heart of the Pitsilia District, the centre of Cyprus' traditional meat products. Using traditional methods of processing, Mr Kyriakides initially produced only 'Hiromeri' (or Cyprus Smoked Ham). As business expanded he gradually began broadening his production line, by adding other traditional pork products. By 1989, Mr. Costas Kyriakides, the founder's son, took over the company and in 1998, he changed the name to "Allantika Madari Ltd." Demand for the company's products continued to rise and in 2003, after conducting a thorough market research, a decision was taken to build a new and modern unit in the industrial area of Kyperounda, a village close to home place, Polistypos. The new processing unit operates since 2005 under strict hygienic controls in a HACCP certified environment, currently offering 4 traditional smoked meat products, using the finest ingredients: Sausages, Hiromeri, Posirti and Lountza, while it is also preparing to launch Pastourma (beef product).
